Meet Our Doctors
 
Dr. Morris FinkelsteinMorris Finkelstein, M.D., earned his medical degree from New York Medical College in 1985.  He studied Human Genetics and Microbiology at Yale University, where he received a Ph. D. degree in 1976.   From the time of completion of his Ph. D. until the time he entered medical school in 1981, he was an Assistant Professor of Medicine at New York University School of Medicine doing cellular research.  Following graduation from medical school, Dr. Finkelstein did his residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Luke’s/Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City.  He is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Finkelstein joined Putnam Gynecology and Obstetrics of Greenwich in 1989.  He is interested in the care of normal and high-risk obstetrical patients, in general gynecology, in diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis, and in obstetrical and gynecological care of female athletes.

When out of the office, Dr. Finkelstein is an open-water swimmer, and was about the 750th person to successfully swim the 24 miles across the English Channel.  He was 53 years old at the time of his crossing in 2003, making him the 17th oldest person to accomplish this swim.  

Dr. Michael SchechterMichael Schechter, M.D. earned his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine in 1988, after receiving a B.S. degree from The Johns Hopkins University. He completed his residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Luke’s- Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City. He has been practicing with Putnam Gynecology and Obstetrics at Greenwich Hospital since 1992. Dr. Schechter is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has particular interest in laparoscopic gynecologic surgery and in the care of normal and high risk obstetrical patients.

Dr. Schechter has been the recipient of New York Magazine’s Best Doctors Award (2007,2008), Greenwich Magazine’s 101 Top Doctors in Fairfield County Awards (2008, 2009), and New Canaan/Darien and Westport Magazines’ Top Doctors Awards (2008, 2009).  He is also conversant in Spanish.
Dr. Elizabeth MolinelliElizabeth Molinelli, M.D. earned her medical degree from New York Medical College in 1988, and her B.A. degree from Bernard College.  She served her residency at New York University Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital in New York City.  She is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology.  Dr. Molinelli has particular interests in vaginal surgery and pediatric gynecology, and in the care of normal and high-risk obstetrical patients.
Dr. Dzwinka CarrollDzwinka Carroll, M.D. earned her medical degree from The Mount Sinai School of Medicine in 1990, and her B.A. degree from Barnard College.  She served her residency at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City.  She is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology.  Dr. Carroll has particular interests in general gynecology, in the treatment of infertile couples, and in the care of normal and high-risk obstetrical patients.
Dr. Elizabeth HungElizabeth Hung, M.D. is a native of Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Hung earned her medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine, in 2003, and received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Public Health in Chronic Disease Epidemiology from Yale University.  Her research interests and multiple publications have been in oncology.  Dr. Hung completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology from North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, New York and served as the administrative Chief Resident.  While at North Shore, she was the recipient of several teaching awards.  Dr. Hung has special interests in low and high-risk obstetrics and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery.  In addition to English, Dr. Hung speaks Taiwanese and Mandarin Chinese.
Dr. Linda ReidLinda M. Reid, M.D. earned her medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in 1994, and her B.S. degree from Lehigh University.  She served her residency at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City.  She is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. Reid has particular interests in general gynecology, and adolescent gynecology.  In addition to English, Dr. Reid has studied Italian and Spanish.
